Our Psychiatry Department with the expertized Psychiatrist Dr. P. Hemanth Madhav, MD (Psychiatry) is specialized in diagnosis, prevention and treatment of mental disorders. Typical case history pertaining to mood, behavioral, cognitive and perceptions are examined to understand the maladaptation’s. Physical as well as Psychological tests are conducted wide Neuroimaging or Neurophysiological techniques to recognize the possible symptoms.
Contemporary practices include variety of modalities like assertive community treatment, community reinforcement and supported employment. Based on the patient and the kind of illness both pharmacological and non-pharmacological services are offered at our department. Pharmacological interventions include antidepressants, antipsychotic medications, sedatives and anxiolytics, hypnotics, mood stabilizers, stimulants. Treatments offered at our facility include: Anxiety, Depression, De-addiction, Bipolar Disorders and OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).
